On January 28th, the 40th day Panihida was served for the Faina Barinova, the mother of our dear parishioner Vera Barinova.  Following the Panihida, a memorial meal (paminka) was served.  Both the service and memorial meal were attended by a large number of Vera’s friends.  We offer heartfelt condolences to Vera with the passing of her mother and we pray that her memory will be eternal!  Vechnaya Pamyat! On January 5th (18th OS) and 6th (19th OS), services for Holy Theophany were served in Christ the Savior Church.  On the morning of the feast, a festive Divine Liturgy was served, followed by the Greater Blessing of Waters.  After the conclusion of the Liturgy, several of the faithful traveled to Huntington where the Ohio River was blessed, at the point where the Guyandotte and Ohio Rivers meet.  Photos from the feast are available here.
